The full name of the piano is ' the Piano Forte ' which was invented by an Italian named Bartolomeo Cristofori. around the 1700'. in Italian, Piano means Soft and Forte means Loud. since this Instrument can produce both loud and soft sounds it is named as Piano Forte. of course he didn't created it out of the blue.. but after many tryouts and improvements he finally succeeded.
